| Bio: | I am a 35 year old male psychotherapist practicing in a humanistic-interpersonal-existential-gestalt-psychosynthetic-vaguely Freudian/Jungian manner. This basically means I like to do therapy in a way that's emotionally intimate in a creative and deep manner that works towards self-actualization while honoring the inherent complexity and mystical nature of life and the universe.
In a larger context, I feel my nature is captured better by the term "healer". I study a number of healing arts besides psychotherapy including medical herbalism and energy working.
I consider myself a deeply spiritual person and have studied the western mystery traditions for many years. I was active in a ceremonial magick order in the Golden Dawn lineage for several years, have been initiated in a Thelemic magickal order, was an active initiate of a traditional Celtic-lineage coven, and pursued independent solitary work along a traditional/feri path. I find it difficult to put my current spiritual perspectives into words, but the phrase "independent mysticism" might come close.
I am also a bit of an artist and enjoy creating beauty in several forms. I paint in acrylics and oils, write poetry and stories, do medieval-style calligraphy and illuminations, cross-stitch, and knit. I also love to cook, make my own candles and wines, and construct handmade books.
Finally, and perhaps most significantly, I am madly in love with the most amazing-beautiful-intelligent-talented-artistic-caring woman I could ever hope to find, my beloved ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) faeryshaman. |
